The Delano is located in the southwest quadrant in the South Calgary area near the South Calgary Park.

The project was developed on an upward sloping parcel which allows for a street level lower entrance and lobby that provides access to the elevators, mechanical room, and a large unfinished storage room. The garbage room is also on this level, though accessed externally via double doors at the northeast corner of the building.

The first floor is divided between residential units and a parkade section. The developed area comprises seven single level residential units and a central hallway which provides access to the parkade. The parkade includes individual parking stalls for residents and the electrical room.

The second floor consists of 14 single level units, while the third floor has seven single level units and the main level of seven loft units.

The fourth floor includes the loft levels of the seven units below, along with the main level of six loft units and one single level unit, while the fifth floor is of partial size and includes the loft level of six of the units below.

There are two types of units within the complex; being either one or two bedrooms, or either loft or single level in design. Common to each unit is a kitchen, living room with fireplace, dining area, main four-piece bathroom, and a balcony or patio. The larger units feature a four-piece in-suite bathroom.

Units vary in size from 844 square feet to 1,404 square feet.
